Renewal to deliver delightful design experience

A lock screen advertisement app provides a way for users to earn coins and coupons through their mobile device’s lock screen. Users can use the coins as cash. They can also exchange coins for convenience store coupons, online coupons such as Google Play gift card, and PayPal cash. It is an application that can easily give benefits to the user when they unlock their smartphone.

My role was to design the product based on a wireframe from the client. I produced several concept UI designs, an app logo, and Google Play market screenshots. The concept design was based on Google’s Material Design guide. After its launch, the app needed a more delightful UI design and enhancement of the engaging visual design, for which I produced a renewal concept design and reinforced the key brand colours.

To check my coin on main page

Users can see the coins that they have collected at the top of the main page. I revised the interaction of the category cards section to save space. At the bottom of the page, users can easily check coin spending. I modified the main colour in the coin typo and coin card section to be noticeably identifiable

To earn coins easily on the lock screen

Advertisements on the lock screen include articles, applications, and events. When users drag the centre icon to the left, they see the advertisement and earn coins. If they do not want to see an advertisement, they drag the icon to the right. Users can also get more coins in the coindirect page.

Spending my coins to real products in store

Users can purchase convenience store products in-app with coins they have collected. After a user buys a coupon, it can be exchanged for a product in that brand store.

Manage my coupons and get a coupon

The coupon page provides coupon information including coupon date. The D-day badge is shown how many dates is left. Users can also buy online store coupons in another tab.

View diverse content and earn a coin

Users can earn coins by reading the latest articles or news through the lock screen and content page. The type of content varies and includes news, sports, travel, and health. Users are able to specify which categories they would like to see.
